Anti-wrinkle (Botox) injections
If your heart sinks watching the increasing wrinkles and lines on your face, you’re certainly not alone. Botox has become a go-to treatment for women AND men who want to keep their youthful good looks.
-
Injecting botulinum toxin type A (Botox) into facial muscles inhibits muscle action, thereby decreasing forehead furrowing, frown-lines and wrinkles around the eyes.
-
Botox also combats excessive perspiration from the underarms, palms and soles of feet, known as hyperhidrosis.
-
Results last up to 4 months. Repeated injections visibly improve the appearance of the skin. These anti-wrinkle treatments are a preventative treatment.
Dermal Fillers
Your skin loses its volume over time making the skin appear creased and folded. Fillers add shape and hydration to the skin giving its vitality back.
Dermal fillers are made from naturally occurring Hyaluronic Acid. This is a natural product found in the body which is produced from bacteria. They bind twenty times their volume to water which plumps and rejuvenates the tissues making them look more youthful and reducing shadows and lines on the face.
What can they be used for?
Nasolabial lines
These can form grooves from the nose to the corners of the mouth. Fillers can reduce the groove and lighten the face.
Lip Fillers
Over time lips appear thinner and lined which can be ageing. Fillers can redefine and enhance the shape of the lips making them appear more voluminous and full.
Marionette Lines
These are lines at the corners of the mouth down to the chin. Deep creases can age the skin and gravity can pull them down. By placing fillers this can lift the mouth and reduce the shadows.
Is it safe?
As Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced fillers are very safe. This binds to water making the tissues look plump and hydrated. This is also gradually reabsorbed by the body as the cells turnover.
How long is it likely to last?
Hyaluronic acid is absorbed and degraded by the body over time. They usually last approximately 6 months.
